David, you're officially closer to a year than you are a newborn and I'm reminding myself to soak up all these moments, hours, and days (
You have the flu right now which is terrible and awful but you're handling it like a champ. Not only do you have the flu, you're also cutting your two first teeth (I cried). You are SUCH a rockstar. You want to be held more than you want to independent play right now (which means more snuggles for me, I'm not complaining), but you still have your huge goofy gummy (but not for long, WAH) smile on your face.
You can move. And you're fast. You've mastered the army crawl and it's terrifying and amazing all in one. You get into everything, and you're obsessed with cords which is a bit problematic. You have a favorite rattle and you love the empty saline bottle. The two of those things keep you entertained for a good hour. You independently play for long periods of time, which is so helpful when we need to make dinner.
You're still a chatterbox and you have such a big personality. You love people and you love talking to them and smiling at them. You're quite the little charmer. Dadadada is your most used and favorite word though I'm not sure you're totally aware what it means quite yet. You can stand for a few seconds when holding onto something but you're not pulling yourself up yet.
You still sleep in bed with us which we love and we're in no rush to have you in your own space. You still sleep swaddled and I'm trying my best not to rush you and instead to allow you go at your own pace. We've tried a few times but you just aren't there yet.
You're still not into solids, but we keep on keeping on. You didn't even like bananas! Peas are so far your least favorite, you sealed your lips and wouldn't budge. Food before 1 is just for fun and that's what I remind myself of. You only use 6+ pacifiers now and you LOVE them. If you see one on the floor, you've mastered picking it up and putting it into your mouth. It's hilarious and I love it.
Your bangs are getting long and I know I'm going to have to cut them sooner rather than later and I'm SO sad just thinking about it. I love your hair and I'm not ready for you to have a first haircut! No mullet though which is totally impressive.
You are the most amazing and incredible little boy and I love that I get to spend all day with you. We love you oh so much!
