Master Bedroom Makeover

Up until the last month, we've never had a bedroom that we could make fully ours. First it was due to apartment living (where we weren't allowed to paint and couldn't afford to buy much), then parenthood the first time around, then pregnancy, and then another babe. The decision to move Eden out at the start of this year was SO hard but oh my goodness you guys having our room be, well, ours, is amazing.

I wish I'd thought to take a good "before" photo but I didn't and this is the best one I could find quickly.

Before we moved in, we painted the room grey and at the time we really loved it. David was still sleeping in our room at this point so we never hung anything on the walls minus the letters, which actually came down soon after because I was paranoid they'd fall and kill us in our sleep ;)

Once we moved Eden out, I really felt the need to change it up. I wanted our room to fit us how we are now, and to just be a place that we really love to hangout in. We decided to go back to white, and have a single accent wall. I was torn between navy and black, but navy won by a landslide and I couldn't love it more. I want to go paint an accent wall in every room now ;) Drex hung up a gallery wall above our dresser for me, we replaced the our prior curtain rod (which was just brushed nickel) with a gold one from Amazon, and also replaced our room darkening curtains with white sheer ones. It's not 100% done yet, we've got to order a swing arm wall light which will replace the lamp on the night stand, and then we'd also like to replace our ceiling light.

It's honestly my favorite room in our house right now and I get excited for bed every night because of it (and sleep, Eden sleeps so much better in her own space so I'm finally sleeping again ha).
