25 Weeks (and a surprise weekend visitor!)

Confession: this is what I look like five out of seven days of the week: hair up, leggings, and a tshirt. I'm just usually really sneaky and make sure to do my hair/put on cute clothes when taking weekly photos ;) This weekend was SO busy that I didn't have the time and alas I'm giving you all a glimpse into my reality ;)
25 weeks (and three days today, whoops)! Time is speeding on by. Or so it occasionally feels. Some weeks go by at lightning speed and others drag, I personally enjoy the ones that speed on by. This past week was eventful. On Tuesday I ended up with some excruciating pain in my lower abdomen that wouldn't go away. That pain got me a trip to labor and delivery to check things out where baby boy was so mad about the heart monitor. Seriously, he hates that thing. He kept trying to kick it off and then he'd squirm away from it. He was giving the nurses a run for their money. Two nurses ended up having to come in and try to catch him. Finally once they'd gotten a proper read and we could see that he was perfect and no evidence of contractions, they let him be.
What that pain was a symptom of was a bad bladder infection. Yay for mama! I've been on antibiotics this past week and tomorrow will be my last day. I seriously hate taking medicine, but this is one of those times that it was necessary.
This little love has also been kicking up a storm lately and I love it. I can't get enough. The past two days he has been awake constantly! For awhile there I thought maybe he'd forgotten how to sleep ;) He's been a little quieter this afternoon so hopefully he's resting. He's doing lots of growing in there so he's got to be exhausted right? ;) We bought and set up the crib yesterday and I'm sort of obsessed with it's presence. There's just something about walking into his room and seeing that there that makes this all a little more surreal. Of course, once we're closer to his due date we'll be moving it into our room. but for now it's hanging out in there.

102 days left!

Now my excuse for posting totally late today! We went up to Portland to go and visit my parents, which we try to do every two weeks or so. Well when we got there, we walked in the house to find my little sister had come home from college (in Spokane, WA) for the weekend! It was SUCH a surprise! My first words were "what are you doing home?", so sweet I know ;) But I was SO confused and surprised! Spending the weekend with her was such a treat. Spokane is just too far away!

(we also got to celebrate her birthday with her early. I can hardly believe she'll be 19 in less than 2 weeks!)
