Today our girl is one. Yesterday we celebrated her with our tribe of people that we love so much. This past year has been the hardest but greatest year of my life. There were moments when I wasn't sure how we'd make it another day let alone until one, but here we are. Colic, dairy intolerances, nursing difficulties, postpartum depression, and torticollis all contributed to the hardness of those first few months. But together we made it through. She is so sweet and full of life. She lights up a room with her personality. She is adventurous and brave. I have always hoped to raise a passionate and strong daughter, what I didn't expect was that she'd be born that way. Her birth was healing and empowering and for that I am still so grateful. I loved her from the moment she was placed on my chest and that love for her has only grown. She is incredible. Words will never do her justice. Happy first birthday to our sweet baby girl!
